It's clear that local and State government officials listen when neighborhoods are together on issues that directly affect their quality of life. By joining SECA, you and your family become a part of a voice on issues affecting our neighborhoods.
Our board is made up of qualified experienced individuals who are deeply rooted in Edison and who have volunteered for many years as advocates for the community. Each of them have specialized knowledge of the local government and the community at large with their experience and connectiveness with local officials can most times weed through issues of local concern in an efficient, timely manner.
S.E.C.A. was established in 1994 when the old Brick Church building was abandoned and textile boxes were used as dumping grounds. We worked with local officials to have them removed and cleaned up the site. Don't let our name fool you, we have worked on issues as far north as featherbed Lane and Raritan Road.
While we are a 501 C 3 Non-profit and take donations. It costs nothing to join, just go to the contact page and we will help sign you up. It could be a skill such as helping seniors with their taxes, to landscaping a park or a cleanup project.
